My wish is to see a set of these cards in every Junior Primary Classroom. To be used when introducing a new sound/letter of the week to ensure children also learn how to write the new sound/letter correctly.
THIS IS SO EASY TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PROGRAMMING AND CAN MAKE SUCH A DIFFERENCE FOR YOUR STUDENTS.

I took myself off to a conference recently. When I got just inside the door a well dressed man in a suit asked me for my name for registration and preceded to write it on a sticky label. 'ANdreA' Not only did the combination of upper and lower case letters surprise me but the way he formed them, the 'N' started on the right, went down and backwards (no, he wasn't left handed).
As a teacher I was horrified. I wanted to go back in time and kick the bottoms of all the teachers that let this slide. Handwriting is just another way you present yourself to the world. Please teach your students correct handwriting. It matters even in this computer age. Especially to prospective employers in the future, (and teachers at conferences).
For those wondering, yes, in true teacher form I made him re-write it, A...n...d...r...e...a.
After all, I couldn't wear the other one on my shirt. Someone might think I wrote it!
Teaching Handwriting couldn't be made easier. Each letter card has a green dot showing where the letter begins, tiny arrows to follow and a red dot to show where the letter finishes. Each card is numbered to show which letters have more than one movement (ie. the pencil leaves the page).
